Just connected my Garmin to the PC & Garmin Express has highlighted a new Map Update is available.
Full Coverage of Europe 2015.40, previously 2015.20, Device & PC now being Updated.
Although this Screenshot is not the latest version of Garmin Express,
it does show the "Advanced Options" box where you can select Device and/or Computer from the dropdown menu to install the maps.

Hope you have more luck than me. Firstly it failed to even start the download. Although I had updated Garmin Express last week I found there was another update. Did that and it connected and started the download. It has failed (error message) twice this morning, once after 2 hours and the second attempt after 1 hour.

Been trying to download this update for hours without success, have downloaded the latest Garmin Express and it aborted the first time after 10 minutes, then again after 90 minutes, re-booted computer and tried again but failed after 2 hrs. >:(
UPDATE ---Finally loaded it - disabled the Anti -Virus Software.

"Security programs can affect the communication between a computer and the Garmin servers.
It may be necessary to disable any and all security programs to allow Garmin Express to communicate."

Tried for the 3rd time this morning and it downloaded fine, took 2 hours. If the progress bar does not show anything after a while there may be a problem. That is what happened to me and eventually it shows a "failed error" message albeit after 1 hour.
I wondered whether it is just the number of people trying to download the new maps as they have just been released.
I can't see why you would need to disable your anti virus.
May depend what Anti Virus program you run as its possibly down to Software issues. I use AVG and have had to on occasion, disable it in the past before when downloading as it `ask's for' permissions. ???

Downloaded Garmin Express for the first time on Last Wednesday and could not identify my NV. I tried sever different ways different laptop, different cable (Zumo550) no luck. Garmin Support sent me an email with several different immediate actions none of which worked. Saturday morning tried and it worked first time took about 4 hrs + to complete adding the new update. All well here will test it tomorrow with a short trip to Limoges, last time it sent me around the houses, fingers crossed.
