If you've done the NC500, here's another one to do, SWC300, https://www.visitsouthwestscotland.com/ ... tal-route/
Have created a BaseCamp route & come up with 310 miles.

Some nice roads and scenery round there, I've spent many a weekend playing golf around that area and always fancied a trip up on the bike.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

Could start/finish at the Premier Inn, Dumfries, with an overnight stay half way round at Sandhead, http://www.tighnamarahotel.co.uk/index.htm

Nice area, I've visited a few times.
Biggar, Moffat, St Mary's Loch recommended too.

It's definitely something I'd be interested in

Re: South West Coastal 300
To do the SWC300 over 2 days from home & back would be achievable, but perhaps not so pleasurable. Likewise, Morrisons Carlisle is (96 miles) 2 hours away from home for me.
Day 1 - Could pick the SWC300 Route up at Lockerbie, using the M6 & A74(M), avoids the A75 to Dumfries & it's numerous fixed safety (speed) cameras.
Carlisle to the Sandhead Hotel is 165 miles in a BC riding time of 4 hours, plus P&T stops at Moffat, New Cumnock & Ballantrae.
Day 2 - Sandhead Hotel to Carlisle (via Lockerbie for completeness) is 192 miles in a BC riding time of 4 hours, plus P&T stops at Port William, Kirkcudbright & Dumfries.
Doing the SWC300 trip over 4 days with an overnight at the PI Dumfries at the start & finish could be more appealing.

Re: South West Coastal 300
I had considered doing the NC500 next year but heard that hotels etc on the route had started to increase prices due to the increased popularity.
I was born with nothing and unfortunately I still have most of it left.
