Picked up my new 2022 R1250 RT this morning.
The 50 mile ride home from the dealer was awesome. I'm coming from 30+ years of riding Harley Davidson touring bikes and the only regret I have is that I didn't go BMW sooner.
Still have to figure out all the bells and whistles, it came pretty well loaded up with all the bells and whistles but I'm really liking it so far. I am particularly impressed with the horn, that thing is stepping in to train horn territory!be

Some people are like Slinkys, not really good for much of anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Welcome. Just had to decline an ex-pat's friend's offer to use his Harley tourer for a couple of years until he shipped it over. "Have you ever ridden an RT?" was my response. I need the twisties' handling and the acceleration that the Harley's just don't have. I'd say "Enjoy it", but it appears that I'm too late.
I've done 20+ years of riding and modifying HDs to try and make them what I wanted them to be with suspension and engine mods. All I had to do was buy the RT and ride it. Almost 6000 miles in the 9 months I have had the RT and I'll never go back.
Great move Larry! I've just completed 180 miles on my new RT - fabulous! Once I'd figured out the connectivity between TFT and mobile phone (thanks to many colleagues on this forum for their help and insight) I can't believe just how good it is. Really nimble, great balance, terrific performance, comfort, safety features and all the bells and whistles.
Got a whopping 165 miles on the new bike. Weather was kind of lousy this weekend and Easter the wife seemed to think I needed to stay home for "family stuff". Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can get some more mileage on it soon.
Really liking this bike. The more I ride it the more I like it.
