Just thought my first post should be to say hello.
My name is Mart and i'm from Newport South Wales.
I've started riding over the fields on a RM400 back around 1980.
I got in trouble a couple of time riding on the road, but as soon as i was 16 i got my first road bike.
My olds bought me a 1977/S Honda C50 and told me that will do as your bound to drop it a couple of times.
Over the next few years i built up to bigger bikes. But in 1988 i had a bad crash and stopped riding.
In 2007 i had a go on a friend ZZR600 and enjoyed being back on 2 wheels.
So i went out and bought a cheap 1989 GPz600r. Then as i got the feel of riding back, i started get better bikes.
I bought a 1991 zx10-b2 then a 1998 750 SRAD. By now i was happy with riding again and thought i will get a nice bike.
So in late 2008, I ended up buying my first Hayabusa 2003/03. I kept it for 4 year and did over 50,000 miles on it.
I then sold it for a brand new 2012 VFR1200F-C. But 18 months later i got taken out but a strong side wind. no more VFR.
My next bike was a 2011 ZZR1400. It was a very nice bike but had to sell it 30 months later due to health problems.
2 years went by and i was well enough to get another bike. I started off on a 1998 zx9r. What a great bike they are.
I ended up owning 4 of them in total.
Now we are upto date with the bike i still own, which are:
1999/T Hayabusa Gen1 (one of the first in the UK)
2004/04 ZX9r-F2
2009/59 Hayabusa Gen2
2013/13 Varadero 1000 (winter hack)
Now I have just bought my first BMW, a 2016/66 R1200RT in Black.
But i did not go out to buy a newer bike for myself.
The wife love the old SV650s and we had seen a nice one for sale.
It was rich money, But a very very clean bike with under 5,500 miles on it.
It's a 2002/02 and has only had 2 owners from new.
So she now has a 2012/12 Yamaha XJ6F, a 1999/V Suzuki SV650S and a 2002/02 SV650S.
Her 1999/V SV650S has less than 800 miles on it. for this reason its not used.
She did have another SV650S 99/V with 7,100 miles on it.
But a twat in a 4x4 went wide on a roundabout and knocked her off it in 2021.
BTW the wife has said i now need to sell one bike. She is dreaming.

So i hope to be apart of your forum and hope to not ask to many silly questions. i will try and use the search box.
Cheers Mart
