Strange things your seen on the road

Post by Doctor T »

Still laid up with a knee injury and bored of not being able to get out, I started to think of the strange things I've seen over my biking life.

1.Spain 3 wild Boars ran out In front of me. Never seen wild Boar in real life before. The little ones looked cute but the big one was massive.
2. Mid France I came around a corner and there was the biggest Vulture I've ever seen eating something dead right in the middle of the road.
3. Batman and Superman having a fight outside a night club in Windsor. No sign of Robin or Super Girl.
4. Overtook Micheal Schumacher on the E16. He was driving a sponsorship Merc with his name plastered on the side. Am faster than a F1 driver
There might be more but I can't remember them at the moment.
What strange or weird things have you seen

I had an own fly over meslf in the car going down Beepers shute on the Isle of Wight. Was dark and picked it up with the full beam, very eerie. Then I had a pigeon fly into me windscreen(different time)me doing 70.What a bloody mess that made.I learned that trying to clear it's debris with me wipers is very counter productive.

Lol with wipers. It was daylight and over 1,000 meter's away when first saw it flying straight towards me a round blob. Barn owl size. Just kept coming and quite frankly scared me as didn't have a clue what it was. Didn't alter course till about 25 metres ,that's when realised what it was.

I was in lane 3 on the M27 and approaching a dumper truck in lane 1 when his gearbox exploded, it was really spectacular with lumps of metal flying all over the place!

Some years later going ‘briskly’ down the A15 in Lincs and saw a large tractor with 4 wheels on the rear axle coming the other way. Suddenly one of the O/S wheels detached itself and rolled across the carriageway, crossing in front of me to disappear into the bushes! That one was a definite “F*****kkk” moment.

Few years ago now I set off from Basildon to pick up a GSF1250.Tootling round the M25 when I glance in the mirror to see the lorry I'd just overtaken madly flashing his lights. Then I saw the strangest thing, this little wheel was overtaking me in the middle lane, then I looked in me side mirror and there it was,or rather wasn't
I pulled the van over, immediately dialled 999 to let them know there was a wheel in the middle lane,as I was on the phone I saw a gap in the lite traffic, ran out and retrieved the wheel, the person on the other end of the phone was not impressed with the retrieval but I didn't want anyone hitting it at speed, would have been a very bad situation.
Anyway, here I am on the hard shoulder with me fecked trailer(the bearing overheated and demolished itself and anything surrounding it)

The trailer wasn't going any further, I could leave it on the hard shoulder so I lifted it(I was on my own)over the barrier up against the battery, jumped in me van and went and got the bike from Southampton. The highway agency called me twice to remove the trailer,I never did go back. Was a crackin little trailer,oh well.
