Does anyone have actual experience with a BASE model RT? That is, one without the Preium Package.
I have located a couple of 2024 NON-Premium equipped 2024 RTs
I know all about the specific omitted option, but want to know how the base NON-ESA suspension compares to the Premium ESA suspension.
Is there any manual adjustment other than rear preload?
How do the spring rates and damping compare to the ESA?
I am concerned that the NON-ESA suspension won't be firm/aggressive/"sporty" enough for me, but would also like to know how the ride
comfort compares. I have 25,000 miles on a 2022 RT with ESA. I find th ROAD mode kinda floppy, and the DYNAMIC mode pretty good, but would
appreciate it even a little tighter.

Re: BASE 1250RT NON-ESA SUSPENSION
I have a '23 RT with base suspension, and its actually quite good !
The adjustment range for both pre-load and damping settings is broad. With my 186 Ilbs body weight and both side bags partially loaded, the ride is compliantly smooth and yet firm enough. My settings are in the mid range just one notch more than the owners manual reccomends.
My previous ride was a'15 FJR ES and I could never achieve a ride as good as my Beemer does now...almost luxurious with total road control and handling to boot !
I wouldn't hesitate buying the base model if I were you....good luck with it.

Re: BASE 1250RT NON-ESA SUSPENSION
Hi, thank you for the response.
WHAT adjustents are there?
I think there is rear preload, but understood that there are not other adjustments.
Out of the 6 potential adjustments: rear preload, front preload, rebound and compression damping both front and rear, what
is there actually. I had two FJRs, both with full adjustment front and rear. The ES that I had ridden never seemed 'stiff" enough regardless of setting.
Thanks,
Billy

Re: BASE 1250RT NON-ESA SUSPENSION
on the rear only, there are 2 adjusters....one for preload (which requires the incl. special tool) and one for damping (dial)....no adjustment on the front end.
Check out the owners manual that is available on-line from BMW, its all there.
