Noob from DFW

Post by Sharkey »

So new, I don't even have an RT yet. I had a 2009 RT years ago and currently selling a F800GT. Been riding for 25yrs now and I got a wild hair to sell the F800GT and a SV650 I have for another RT. Found one 3 hours away and spoke with the guy tonight. Heading out Fri to bring back a 14 RT with 4K miles on it. Recently serviced at dealer and new tires put on it. Original owner is moving out of the country.

I had found a 13 90th Anniversary but it has low suspension (which I liked) but no heated seats and no audio system which I thought was odd for the Anniversary model. For a little more cash, I think the 14 is the better deal and the owner reached out to me when I asked him to call me about the bike. I anticipate switching out for a low seat since I am 5'4" but we'll see.

My goal is to end up with just the RT and a Silverwing Scooter I found a couple months ago. Scooters rule! I guess I need to get with local BMW Club here once I get the RT to do a ride. I was on a TX Cycle Forum for a 20yrs but got banned for the comments I made. I am a bad bad man apparently. If anyone in DFW has a low seat you want to trade for an OEM seat, DM me.

Thanks.

Welcome from Friendswood, Texas

I agree about scooters, I have a Vespa 300GTS and enjoy the hell out of it.

Probably the worst feature of the RT is the seat height. I have a 29" in seam
