New to this bike, owner of many

Post by S2NAZ »

Hi All!

Glad to be back to RT ownership ❤️

I’ve been hunting for a locally owned RT in really great condition and was finally able to find one (only took a year)
I’m pretty much a solo rider and 70 years is coming up quickly so I have a. Feeling this will be the last one 🤷🏼
I’ve put thousands of miles on BMW’s and Harley’s and have no prejudice to a brand, but I appreciate a great all round bike and for me this is the one.
I’ve owned 3 RT’s and 05 and an 11. I’ve also owned an 05 K1200LT which I felt was the best for travel but any more they’re just too large.
This 2015 will need front shock seals and a rear shock replacement courtesy of the know all California shock guy. I’ll so the front struts here. Other than a few farkles it’s bone stock and runs exactly as you’d expect. New tires arrive today. The ones on the bike were very low mileage but 6 years old and in AZ they’re dried out. I’m an advanced armature detainer so the entire bike has been gone through with a high shine and paint corrected, looks like you I bought it.

Anyway, I really look forward to leaning on your knowledge and expertise and in advance of my almost certain questions I thank you all in advance.

Very sincerely,

Stew Keene

Welcome, and I'm glad you're here!

I just looked and you are 308 miles from me!

It's good to hear from someone who's owned different motorcycle brands. Your observations on what works and what doesn't will be interesting to read.
