Daytona boot repair

I recently had the gearchange pad come partially unstuck on my left hand Roadstar GTX boot. A not infrequent occurrence considering the useage and the fact that the boots are over 25 years old, and are the ‘Triggers broom’ of my bike kit having has 2 sets of soles and 2 pads in the past.
I tried a local cobbler who made a huge mess with superglue which of course cracked up and fell off, it being a very brittle hard adhesive,
So aware that things are now different after Brexit I phoned Tran-Am and were told to deal with The Boot Repair Company who will repair/replace/mend whatever bits are necessary.

So off they went, and less than a week later back they came. TBH I’m not wild about the look of the pads but they’ll hopefully do the job.
Total cost about £83 inc P&P both ways, not an insignificant amount but a whole lot less that £400!
