Re rear crash bars: BMW do some self adhesive rubber strips to fix onto the side of the panniers to save the paintwork should you drop it whilst stationary.

Fortunately I haven't discovered whether they work as yet, but as with anything bearing the name, they ain’t cheap!

Ah, but that's what was said about the drive shaft.

One of the first things I did on my 2014 RT was to put a set of Sargent heated seats on it. Couldn't stand the bench like quality of the OE.
They take a while to settle in but I wouldn't change them at all. They are now on my 17 RT.

Just get rid of it and fit a HealTech Servo Eliminator. Provided the flap is stuck in the open position, and you'd know about it if it wasn't, 50 quid and half an hours work and the problems goes away for ever. Some say it makes the exhaust a little louder, but I didn't notice and difference after ...
