Side roundel running lights / indicators

Post by Ribcracker »

Anyone fitted the side panel logo roundel running lights / indicators?
If so, how did you get one removing and modifying the BMW logo roundel and fitting the lights?
Do they work well, and where did you source the lights?

My bike has them, but they were already fitted when I bought it.

I can say that they work well. Mine show a white light all the time I'm riding, and turn to flashing orange with the indicators. The offside one also stays on for 30 seconds when I park. Presumably the previous owner needed illumination to exit his garage at night.

I’m looking at them at the moment.

Motorworks and Sportouring do them around the same price bracket, approx £120, with a possibility of Amazon and Aliexpress cheaper.

I bought a set from motorworks

Fitting is fairly easy if you follow the instructions! I never 😂

I didn't like the idea of drilling holes in the side panel behind the emblem for the wiring so I ended up removing all the silver trim and feeding the wiring through there and through a hole already in the fairing.

It's was a lot of work and fiddly but I am happy with the result
