BMW R1200RT LE for sale
I am (reluctantly) selling my 2016 RT after almost 5 years of ownership. It is in Ebony, which according to BMW is black but can look brown, with the usual LE extras. Central locking, keyless ride, sat nav prep, cruise control, 3 ride modes, gearshift assist pro, headlight pro, front and rear ...

Z Technik Vstream screen
Z Technik VSTREAM light smoke screen for the post 2014 RT for sale. It might fit slightly earlier models but any LC will be fine. Slightly taller with more bubble like shape if that makes sense! Obviously used but with very few marks. £95 plus post.

Re: Parasitic drain
Oh the SD card is corrupt and I can’t get anything off it as it has swelled internally. The Innovv camera DVR is also toast as is the power supply. I have a feeling that these were the culprits and need to gradually reconnect stuff to check. The battery is new.

Re: Parasitic drain
I doubt it’s the camera as that has given up! Burnt SD card so I think it’s had it. I’ll remove it and replace it with its replacement, an Innovv K3 I’ve had for ages. Still no idea what is causing the drain as the battery was flat again this morning.

Parasitic drain
I think I have a parasitic drain on my 2016 RT. I suspect something has happened since it was serviced as the battery has been going flat from about then. I have disconnected all the accessories, which was fairly easy as I have a Hex EzCan, but left the Innov camera connected. Now I have found that ...

Re: Road Tax
The VED system in the UK is ridiculous. Just taxed my 2016 RT at £121. My sons partners 2013 diesel Focus costs £20 for the year. Its bigger, heavier, emits more pollutants so that doesnt make any sense. Even less is my sons Tesla. No VED yet apart from the luxury car tax but that is 8 times heavier ...

Re: Carpuride system
Well I bit the bullet and got the 702. I also got the adapter from EBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167047695149) which it mounts to very well. The cabling is hidden within and behind the adapter and uses the OE sat nav mount for power. It boots up quickly and does briefly go off when starting but ...

Re: Can you turn off the hill start control?
On my 2016 it only comes on with a firm pull of the front brake. It can be released manually by pulling the lever again so you can start how you want. I can’t believe that BMW made it mandatory to come on when you stop although manufacturers do weird things! Here’s a link to the manual where on page ...

Re: Grey battery symbol on dash
I think you’ll find the battery light is for the key fob. My 2016 has keyless ride and it tells me when the fob battery is getting low by putting on the amber battery light. If you have keyless then replace the fob battery. Later models might use a different colour for this but I can’t suggest ...

Re: Reiten Mottrad no longer selling new BMW bikes
It might look a bit back street but you try booking a service there. Normally they are working 3 months ahead! They get good reviews and loads of repeat customers. I never get to go there because they are so booked up and I never know when I will need a service as my mileage varies so much. So I ...

Just want to say I bought one of these from Planefixer, via eBay. Works a treat and easy to assemble now just got to take the bike out with it on!

Seat repair
I have the Wunderlich AktivKomfort seats on my 2016 LC. Unfortunately I have managed to cut the top of the pillion seat. Wunderlich can’t help but suggested that a car interior place might be of help. Does anyone know of anywhere that can repair these? I have tried Else Made but he told me that the ...

They look like Denali S4 lights. If you are flogging them I might be interested.

Re: Is my final drive going bad?
Once my Michelins RP 5’s and 6’s wear then I get a humming noise from them. Once changed it went so that might be what you have. Change the tyres first I’d say then see what you have.
