Many li-ion batteries have a built-in battery management system (BMS) to prevent over charging/discharging. The BMS can tell you if there is an issue with the battery. I would track down the manual for the battery and look for clues there.

seems to work very well (as well as it should, costing 3.5x more)!!
I believe the price difference comes down to capability. Some might say the increased number of functions doesn't justify the difference, but you can do things with the GS-911 that can save you a lot of money. I live in the USA ...

No Loctite necessary with Nyloc. Loctite and Nyloc serve the same purpose (for the most part): to prevent a fastener backing off due to vibration. Depending on the variety used, Loctite will generally provide more security than Nyloc. There are versions of Loctite that are considered "permanent ...

If all you want is the ability to see trouble codes there are any number of options available. If you want to RESET trouble codes--and service reminders--you need the GS-11. Here in the US you can take your vehicle to any auto parts store and they'll connect a reader to scan trouble codes for free.

Just out of curiosity, what is your beef with Nylock? These are commonly used fasteners throughout the aerospace industry, providing excellent vibration resistance.
