I do to a certain extent but after fecking up both panels(tabs)i wasn't keen on taking them off again. But in my defence(and I did start a thread exactly the same as owl's)I wasn't warned or told about those bloody tabs.It was an expensive lesson learned.Still, all worked out and everyone gets the protector onPanman40 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 7:40 pm I suffer with ocd so I had to find the best possible place to fix those straps![]()

Just popped the panel off. Hopefully you can see where I put the strap on the right hand side. Also pic of the tabs to be careful of, basically remove 2 torx on tge inside of the panel at the front, pull out along the bottom until 2 poppers release and a small Velcro then gently lift the panel upwards , don’t pull it outwards as that when the tabs can snap.

That is above & beyond - thank you so much for doing that for me.
I have just spent the last hour trying to feed the strap down behind that panel and failed miserably - there's just not enough room.
Armed with your photos I will have another go either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Once you’ve taken a panel off a couple times it literally takes 1 minuteowl wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 10:57 am That is above & beyond - thank you so much for doing that for me.

Re: Bagster tank cover
I've got the offside strap done, thanks to those photos.
I have to get the bike out of the garage to do the nearside one, and it's raining now, so will try tomorrow.
