Re: Helmet review. LS2 FF901
Sounds like a good choice. It seems like it only comes in black, though. Not so good for those of us in warmer/sunnier areas.

Spending the weekend at Barber Motorsports at BMW Vintage Days. Also went to the Barber motorcycle museum. Over 2000 motorcycles along with an excellent collection of Lotus road and race cars! Weather was perfect.

Re: New Member from SF Bay Area
On the RT-P the top box is where the radio equipment was mounted. So, it's really just an empty box with an aluminum plate underneath. Still, it has a good bit of space inside. I have a backpack that fits perfectly inside my radio box. Nice, locking storage! The backrest is nice, too!

It's the last day of the BMW Motorcycle Owners Association rally in Lebanon, Tennessee. I've seen license plates from Alaska (!), Oregon, California, Maine, and places closer. Excellent seminars on travel, technical support, and many other subjects.

You might want to get a new one if it seems a bit rounded.

Re: Puncture kits - CO2 cylinders? Sticky strings?
The strings work pretty well on punctures that aren't perfectly round. I had a small triangular-shaped bone puncture my rear tire in April. The mushroom did not seal well. The string worked much better. But, I still replaced the tire.

Rain is liable to pop up unexpectedly any day in the Spring or fall, The road had just been re-surfaced. Wait a couple of weeks and the potholes will be back. "Sweeping curves"? Not likely! It's 318 curves in 11 miles. Popularly known as the 'Tail of the Dragon'.

Re: Valve Check
Valve checks on my 2013 R1200RTP are pretty easy. But, changing the little 'semi-sphere' is a PITA. Only because they are only available from BMW dealers. And there is no way to know what you need until the valve covers are off. Here in the USA, they are $12.73 each. So getting an assortment is very ...

Told to cut the front grass again. Did the rear 3 days ago. I have to do everything while she lies in bed 24 hours a day. I have to do everything. After 10 months of illness, I hope she gets better soon. It's knackering running a house single handed.
One plus. I now know which aisle everything is ...

The styling is all angles. Reminds me of WW1 ship camouflage. I prefer curves!
