Re: GPS mount bar above TFT

That Wunderlich mount is pricey, you're right. I've seen some people use RAM mounts and adapt them, but it's not the cleanest look. I'm also not a fan of stick-on mounts for something like a GPS. If you find anything else that bolts on nicely, let me know

Re: What’s the lightest modular and full face helmet ?

I switched from a modular to a lighter full-face a while back for similar reasons, and it made a huge difference. I don't know the exact weights of the Shoei helmets, but maybe check out their full-face options like the RF-1400 or the X-Fifteen? They're supposed to be pretty lightweight. You might h...

Re: Tank bags: can one off a K1200 be made to fit an RT?

I don’t use a tank bag, mostly because I prefer to keep things light and not have extra bulk on the bike. I usually just go with a small backpack or a crossbody bag that I can take with me when I stop. Tank bags seem useful, but I never liked the idea of something sitting on the tank while riding. I...

Re: "Video" Colorado Trip July 2024, on my '23 R1250RT

Hey man, that ride sounds incredible! The Million Dollar Highway is a dream route, especially for an R1250RT. It must’ve been a smooth and scenic trip. Escaping the Phoenix heat and cruising through Colorado’s mountain roads? Perfect combo! If you’re into editing your ride footage, you might want to...

Re: Internal / Dust Cover

I just use a cheap, large tarp. Works perfectly for dust and keeps it dry.

Re: Not-so-slow front tire leak

Could be a slow leak in the valve stem itself, even if you didn't see bubbles. Sometimes those little things are sneaky. Worth getting a new valve stem put in, cheap fix, and it's a common culprit.

For places to visit, Berat (“the city of a thousand windows”) is a must-see, as is Gjirokastër, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Albanian Riviera is another highlight, with gorgeous beaches like Ksamil and Dhërmi. If you’re heading to Paleros, stopping in the Llogara Pass for its incredible vie...

Re: BMW 1200rt phone mount

I've had good luck with the Quad Lock and Ram Mount cradles for my bike. They’re both pretty solid and adjustable, so you can get a secure fit in the sat nav prep on the RT. I’ve used them for a while, and they hold up well even on rougher rides. Just make sure to double-check the mounting options t...

Re: Pixel 5 connection

It sounds like your Pixel might be having a connection hiccup. I had something similar happen with my old phone, and what worked for me was toggling off WiFi and Bluetooth, then turning them back on. If that doesn't help, you could try forgetting the WiFi network and reconnecting. Another thing you ...

Re: Connected app and paired helmets

Hey Mac, I had a similar issue with my intercoms once. It might be a Bluetooth conflict between the bike and the intercoms. What worked for me was unpairing the helmets from the bike's app first, then pairing them with the intercoms. Also, double-check if there's a firmware update for either the bik...

Re: simple wire color table

I've done a similar LED swap on my bike, and I’d recommend double-checking the resistor ratings to make sure they’re not going to overheat the system. Your color choices for wiring look good, but I’d still verify them with your bike’s wiring diagram since different models can have some variations. P...
